It won't be cheap. Think it said it was a flat rate of 4ish pounds plus something per book. But it would remove the hassle that is for sure.

Or on the other hand you could pick up a half decent PDA for less than that install the mobile versions of Acrobat and Microsoft reader on the thing and then download the PDF and LIT versions of your books to read in just the same way. I have a substantial library on my PDA for when I'm working away from home.

It also has the advantage of being able to play films and TV programs that you have converted.

It may be a little overpowered but something tells me you'd be tinkering with it the first chance you got to see what else you could get it to do

Nice, but one of the things that appealed about the kindle was the whisper network thing.

Basically a continually connected wireless feed that allows you to download effortlessly from the ether. You can subscribe to magazines, daily newspapers etc. You need never connect it to your pc and can have a book instantally regardless of where you are.
