And Jacqui Smith admits another cock up!!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7142436.stm

Quote
The problem emerged after an enforcement operation in April discovered 44 people working at a security company who did not have the right to work in the UK - 12 had been subcontracted to a company that provided staff to guard locations under Metropolitan Police contracts.

Others were employed at ports and airports. One man had been guarding government cars - including that of the prime minister.

I remember when the story broke they were saying that 5,000 would be the absolute maximum number… now it turns out there are many more than that…  noooo:

Apparently, some bright spark has now had the brilliant idea of actually checking people out when they apply… doh:

I am lost...

That, I suspect, is the Government's hope.

They must be doomed with all this coming out day after day ..... It's as bad as Major's last months.

It will, I suspect, take more than headlines to prise Gordon's fingers from the levers of power.

That Harriet Harman has gone quiet since she was caught lying..............

And the European Treaty has been signed, so we may all rejoice:

Quote
The leaders signed the treaty, translated into the EU's 23 official languages, using specially engraved silver fountain pens as a choir sang Beethoven's Ode to Joy.

George Orwell could never have made this up!!
