13 days "out of work" ~ why do I feel that this was all a put up job?
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

It depends on what the true reasons for him going are. If it turns out that he wasnt responsible for the loss but is one of those deluded souls believe in this government (yes there are some out there) who fell on his sword to deflect attention away from their interference in the oriiginal procedures then its more than likely they would give him another post as a reward.
The universe is run by the complex interweaving of three elements. Energy, matter, and enlightened self-interest.

Quote
"When he resigned with immediate effect, Paul Gray's period of notice meant that he would be paid until the end of the year.

"As a result, he could receive payment for no work, or receive payment for doing some work.

"It was thought to be better in the public interest that he did some work. There is no additional cost to the public purse. He will leave the payroll on 31 December."

I shall be reserving judgement.
