Am I overreacting?
« on: September 09, 2007, 04:08:02 PM »

Mail from me to ITV this afternoon  / their reply  /my comeback.... am I overreacting?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 cussing:
Please see your schedule below, it says : Live race  Sunday 9 September  1200-1450  ITV1
Italian Grand Prix on ITV
  Live qualifying  Saturday 8 September  1230-1430  ITV4
  Highlights qualifying  Saturday 8 September  2325-0040  ITV1
 Live race  Sunday 9 September  1200-1450  ITV1
Except for ITV Wales as I discovered. Bah   cussing:
  Highlights  Sunday 9 September  2245-2345  ITV1
  Highlights re-run  Monday 10 September  1800-1900  ITV4
So I turn on my ITV and what do I find?
Bloody Rugby, I don't watch Rugby I watch F1, the rugby is over all the other channels so why did it need to be on ITV as well.
Why were we in Wales excluded from the F1 Coverage?
Now all I am left with is the chance to see the highlight, which is not the same thing at all.
Please have the decency to respond with your reasoning.
Thank you for your email.
The Rugby and the Grand Prix have unfortunately clashed and that ITV
Wales, naturally, has given precedence to full support of the home team
by showing the rugby 'live' on ITV1 Wales.
Fortunately if you are viewing in Wales are watching via digital
satellite and want to see F1 you can tune to channel 993 (ITV1 London)
on the Sky EPG.
However, if you are unable to watch via Sky, there is an F1 highlights
programme on Sunday night at 22.45 on ITV1 Wales
Kind Regards,
Thank you for you standard reply.
This is not good enough, the Rugby was covered on other channels, you at ITV have the contract to supply F1 to the UK.
I live in the UK and I want to see the race, live and in full. The highlights do not cut it for me.
You have failed to fulfill you contractual obligations. I shall be taking this to the ombudsman.
I am incandescent with rage at the moment, so will take a deep breath before I say anything I may regret. Perhaps you would be kind enough to ask someone in authority to send me a considered reply as soon as possible.
Still your most annoyed viewer.
I watched the Rugby on ITV 4 via Sky but could have watched it via Freeview also on ITV4.
Really got my hopes up when the Canadians took a lead but ................   censored:
Mrs Growler sadly comes into THOSE catergories. evil:
I missed it too, but that was self inflicted. ::)
 Looks like the highlights for us both tonight.
You are right Puss.
They do a lot of that in Wales I've noticed.
I find it very annoying that, because they can detect that my telephone call is coming from a STD code in Wales, they always speak to me in Welsh first ~ even on a 999 call I have to listen to someone clearing their throat for five minutes before they will say something I can understand.
They insist on sending me two official documents about everything, one in Welsh and one in English. It bloody infuriates me ~ or it would if the nice Doctor ever stops giving me the valium prescriptions.
As it is, most times because of the nice Doctor, I no longer give a sh*t.  cloud9:
Yes. Well?
All sounds fair enough to me tbh. happy088
By the way. Shouldn't Mr Wenchs' mother be the BFMFH, or have you got hitched now, and WHY doesn't Mr Wench ever come in here too?
P'raps he isn't allowed? eeek:
He sounds like a decent hen pecked sort to me, and we/I would value his input.
It is easier to refer to them as in laws. Saves the explaining as to why we haven't set a date yet.
I don't really know why Mr Wench never pops in. He reads it sometimes I think, I don't believe I ever told him he couldn't join. He can't post from school though and in the evenings cardiffcitymad.com takes up all his time.  ::)
