Been to Preston many times and rarely liked it but the surrounding area is very good.  Well apart from the Garstang Horror that is (long story)

Years ago there was a brilliant meaty restaurant (so it must have been before 1995) which was combined with a butchers.  You went in, selected your type and weight of steak and that's what they cooked for you.  Prolly closed now
