Isn't this one of the perennial Daily Fail stories that they drag out on a slow news day...? I see they've also just done 'Photos from a divided Nicosia' again... ::)

But yes, regarding the OP you can bet your life they are in MPs homes and not hidden away from visitors either... Probably another little perk of the job or an accepted leaving bonus...  evil:

It's a Daily Fail story but it is also another indicator to the endemic problems within the current system. How many millions of taxpayer's money have been squandered on obtaining these fripperies in the first place. We already know about the subsidised bars and restaurants, John Lewis list, the abuses of expenses and second homes but how much more is wasted on perks like this that we as yet know nothing about, especially given the fact that essential services such as the Police and NHS have had significant budget shortfalls (although I'd also grant that the problems with the NHS are as much from incompetent, shortsighted senior management as anything else).
