Being cried on

Phone rings. It is Nod. His elderly mother is hallucinating and confused. Help, what should I do??????

I advise


Phone rings: a friend says her brother is days from death and blubs. For half an hour I encourage, sympathise, advise, listen.

She says she will call again

Phone rings: Miss I hysterical with rage about inflated leccy bill  ::)

I offer wise counsel while she shouts and screams

All this within the space of 2 hours!!

There are days like this. Do we all have them????

Rarely

But doesn't your day just indicate people see you as a good egg?  One they can trust to offload difficulties onto knowing you'll be totally discreet and not publish any of their woes on t'interweb

I just generally have people ringing me at work and ranting at one thing or another and then threatening to sue or get their councillor friends to dismiss whatever action we are taking against them .

Today I kindly got informed that my staff had the brains of monkeys and they would die very soon!!!

What had they done ....nothing except rightfully inform this person that by intentionally flooding his neighbours flat 3 times in the last fortnight because he doesn't like them could be considered criminal damage.

He has up to this point caused overy 25k worth of damage.  !!!
