Do we live in Popcorn: times or what?

A surprising result (though it will be appealed) but the delays in their deliberations did suggest it might go this way.  Three months ago she'd have won a HofC vote easily, not so sure now
Well, whatever, nevermind

Very interesting times indeed...

Parliament is overwhelmingly against Brexit... Think hard boys, think hard...

Yes Parliament was but had she held the vote in September not too MPs would have been prepared to vote against it.  Probably not now as most observers say a repeat referendum now would just give the same result and they would have their own voters in mind.

But the chances are public opinion will change (a) because it's always fickle and (b) because the reality of that huge devaluation will start to filter through and frankly that pretend £350M a week not going to the NHS is going to rankle during the annual NHS winter crisis.  With May increasingly struggling to look like a leader who knows what will happen.  Popcorn:

Anyway the £ is up by 1% on the announcement

If you think that the pound devalued after the referendum result just wait to see how much it tanks should there be a remain vote on a second referendum. New draconian rules and regulations will be introduced to punish the UK for having the temerity to vote out in the first place in order to scare other countries into keeping quiet about leaving. Say goodbye to the financial services industry in London and billions of pounds from the economy as that will be the first thing targeted in order to encourage them to relocate into a 'secure' EU country.

Anyone who thinks I'm overreacting bear in mind that senior EU figures have already publicly stated that any exit negotiations should be designed to punish the UK in order to make any other country think twice about leaving and given their track record it is clear that they do not care about democracy as it gets in the way of their 'ever closer union'.
The universe is run by the complex interweaving of three elements. Energy, matter, and enlightened self-interest.

My biggest fear, as an Englishman and Brexiteer, is that too many of many compatriots have become supine, indolent and lacking in good old fashioned balls.
