The Upcoming Movie Thread
« on: March 02, 2016, 12:47:27 AM »
There has been talk about a big screen adaptation of the Gunslinger series for a while now but I'm in 2 minds about this as there have been few Stephen King adaptations that haven't been dire. The Shining and Shawshank Redeption are the only 2 that come to mind although The Mist wasn't that bad either. The less said about The Stand or the Langoliers the better.  noooo:

Idris Elba as Roland is an interesting bit of casting, I can sort of see him in the role. I'm not so sure about McConaughey as the Man in Black though  rubschin:

Well I was curious about this as I did like the original when I was a kid but if the trailer is anything to go by the reboot is going to be absolute shite.  noooo:

When I first heard about this my reaction was "not another bloody remake" but having looked at the trailer it doesn't seem to bad...  rubschin:

Not sure the parkour scenes would work with him wearing a wooden leg and an eyepatch...  rubschin:

Ok Idris works as Roland

I'm still not certain about McConaughey as Flagg though...  rubschin:

Something tells me that Miss D won't be going anywhere near the cinema when the remake of Stephen King's IT is showing....
