It was a pantomime  razz:

Arrived at 8.30 for *"induction"

Met by nice lady who dragged us all over the building and got us fixed up with passes, door keys, log ins, e mail addresses, car park and library stuff. Then coffee

Went to our office and found a strange woman in residence rifling through cupboards  eeek:

We asked who she was and she asked who we were. Then several guards arrived and removed her (threat of police). Turned out to be former Head of Department who had gone bonkers. Two more guys arrived and began dismantling her PC and then two more who changed the locks we had just been given keys for.  rubschin:

Two new pooters arrived and were set up. We logged on to our emails. First e mail was a message to the effect that there would be surprise OFSTED inspection starting tomorrow  eeek: eeek:

Sounds of panic from all directions followed by collapse of the e mail system.

Boss arrives and tells us our induction is cancelled, suggesting we go for a walk.

Three other staff arrive and ask after mad woman. Boss says she has been sacked. Staff laugh and dance.

Did nothing for the rest of the day but had to hang around for meeting at 3.30 in which everyone but us rehearsed the lies they would tell to Ofsted.

Day 1 over.  :thumbsup

Rowan Atkinson already beat him to it...  whistle:
The universe is run by the complex interweaving of three elements. Energy, matter, and enlightened self-interest.
