Always a source of amusement, if only because the questions asked are so weird.

Someone just posted this!

Quote
I have a giant african land snail and it looks like its insides are coming out of its mouth. Can you help?
It seems lively, but cannot eat because of what is coming out of its mouth. It looks like a bobbly cream-coloured mass with a pulsating tube which secretes slime. Please help fast!

It is the "it seems lively" bit that I find most worrying for some reason

It is horrid here. I fear Mrs Nick is planning some sort of activity for us this afternoon. She wants to buy a tumble dryer. Why? Cos the house has been full of damp washing all "summer". cry:

Ah! If you think pink clothes are bad wait until you see the size of some things that come out of a tumble dryer!
You put in one of her sweaters and it comes out only fitting a Barbie Doll. Then you are in it up to your ears ~ because it was always her "favourite".
Tumble dryers are expensive to run and most clothes say on the label "Do not Tumble". Show her the washing instructions on most of her clothing ~ she may just change her mind ... if not you will need to also buy a magnifying glass and read every f*cking label before you wash and tumble the garments.
Been there, done that! evil:

Good plan. I used to wash woollens too hot. Many of my old jumpers are too small for Mrs Nick but The Boy fits them now ::)

Having lived on the IoW I can tell the enquirer the answer is no but there are many shops on the Island that sell IoW passports to the tourists.  ::)

As for the Tumble Dryer ~ they take forever to dry anything because the average household washing machine does not spin fast enough to remove the excess water so your first hour in the tumbler is spent reheating the water logged items from the 40 deg wash to something much higher ~ which is why they shrink.
Your best bet is to take all tumble-able items, once home washed, to your local launderette where they will have a high speed spin dryer. Use that first then tumble dry on a medium setting. Their dryers are much larger thus the airflow is better and the clothes dry quicker. You also get to sit with a lot of yummy mummies who will be happy to "help" you if you look "helpless" enough.  eyes:
You also get to watch their undies tumbling around behind the glass door. lol:

I have over the years spent many a happy hour in launderettes.

Frankly mate I'm not sure which worries me most. Them for posting such things or you for reading them.

As for the Goldfish ~ I thought they only had a memory span of about 30 seconds ~ so within a minute it will believe it has known its new bowl-mate all its life.

Of course if its a girl fish that's added to the bowl and assuming the twelve year old is a boy fish ~ well he'll be happy to get his fin over after all this time.

Now I am getting worried about me for answering your post.  whistle:
