Drain Problems...
« on: February 13, 2013, 07:33:56 AM »
They are putting new drains in our street...

The old ones are full of shite and rather than clean them out they have decided to put new ones in - money being no object and everything... ::)

So they dig up the road and put the new pipes in - they sit them on a bed of gravel then pour concrete over them to seal them up...

They have worked all the way up the street - filling in behind them as they go. Now all they have to do is connect the new drain to the old one that continues on up the road...

Oh... doh:

Good job the Channel Tunnel diggers were a bit more accurate....  noooo:

They are supposed to be digging up the entire village to put mains sewers in (EU regulations), what a cluster fuck that is likely to be....  ::)

When they put new lecky cables in our road they just dug up the pavement with both cars on the drive - didn't even knock on the door to ask if we wanted to move them... Three days stranded.

I got my Mini wheels done over in Paigia somewhere - it took me hours to find the guy (and eventually had to drive across a field) because everything was dug up - he said he didn't know which way he would have to go to get to work in the morning or home again in the evening....  lol:

And yes, this new pipe thing will go right across the end of our cul-de-sac... ::)

On the principle of cast the first stone I should STFU taking the mick (P?) out of others sewers

As far as I know the one in ur road has only overflowed 3 times into the garden 2 doors down.
Well, whatever, nevermind

You couldn't make it up...

They dug that trench in the first picture so close to one of the power poles it started to fall over... They had to prop it up with bits of wood....  noooo:

And those blue pipes contain 11KV power cables... god knows what will happen there...  scared2:
