Arrest warrant sought for Blair
« on: August 31, 2012, 01:11:39 PM »
Quote from: SABC
The Society of the Protection of our Constitution (SPOC) is seeking a warrant of arrest for former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, who is currently in South Africa.

SPOC's secretary, Muhammed Vawda, says they have filed a 'crimes against the state' complaint with the South African Police Service, who opened a docket.

"A case number was issued and it will go to the National Director of Public Prosecutions for a decision," added Vawda.

The Kuala Lumpur War Crimes Tribunal - an alternative to the International Criminal Court with no United Nations recognition or authority found Blair and former US president George W. Bush guilty in absentia last year of crimes against humanity and genocide in the 2003 Iraq war.

Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu withdrew from the summit on Tuesday because of Blair's attendance.

Just about sums it up then really.
