Illy expresso............. cloud9:

Yep that's the one we are currently using.

Why does coffee never taste as good as it smells?

It does in my kitchen  angel1   Freshly ground beans (usually Central American) in a cafetiere, mid to high roast and a good quantity per cup  ;D

Coffee out is usually disappointing except Café Nero which does a decent cappuccino, a bit like comfort food.

Tried all methods of grinding beans, different blends of beans and various preparation methods (cafetiere, filter, one of those French stove top jobbies) but nowt tastes the same as that cup I love to sup at the side of a canal in Amsterdam.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Possibly it's the water....... But those canals look pretty mucky to me.

Also on the same canal is De Poezenboot ~ Yes it translates as the Pussy Boat and does what it says.

Provides a home for stray cats.
