Whistling noses

Also at the theatre yesterday we were sitting next to one young wumman who had a whistling nose . This was really beginning to annoy me  evil:

I wanted to ask her to open her mouth and breath through that instead but was stopped  redface:

In the quietest of moments all you could hear was the rattling high pitched echoes of air squeezing through her nose. She had wide enough nostrils so I am presuming the bottleneck was further up.

Can you not hear this when it is happening to you ?
