Actually I don't think LL will be that upset about the tablet, after all it's going to be a far more convenient shape for throwing at you...  rubschin:

Nearest I have to a Tablet is me Kindle but I must admit I lean towards the theory that within a very few years PC, Laptops etc will all be replaced by Tablets.

Having spent ££££££££££££s on new laptops for boys and self in the last year I am disinclined to get a tablet until they are a little better priced and reliable. Capacity seems to be a bit of a problem.

That said Lil Bruv recently upgraded from his old cloncker to one of these all-in one PCs. Still has keyboard and mouse but everything else is built into the back and sides of the screen. Comes with touch screen but he prefers to use the keyboard and mouse. Mind you it is a 20 inch screen so I doubt if he would want to carry it around.

There are loads of them around...

I've dipped my toe in the water and ordered one of these.

I'm baffled as to why people would want to add a case and a keyboard tho'

Surely this is no different to buying a netbook?  rubschin:

Think it's the amazon fire. Came out in the States just before Christmas. From what I've seen it looks yummy.

But between my iPhone and my kindle I'm not sure what need I actually have for one.

The Fire looks good but it is severely limited in what it can do and how much you can expand it....

The one I've ordered has 16GB and a slot for adding another 32GB - plus you have access to all of the Android aps (including the Kindle ap)...

It really pisses all over the fire!  lol:
