I've never tried the pancetta/garlic thing, but often do them with bacon lardons

I notice that both Morrisons and Sainsburys are both doing sprout trees again this year, but this year you have a choice of green or purple sprouts.

firstly, not a witch, secondly, .....roast some chestnuts in the oven then peel and chop finely. parboil the sprouts then drain and dry. Fry some pancetta or smoky bacon lardons, throw in the sprouts and cook with the pancetta. While the pan is hot pour in a couple of tablespoons of dry white wine and add the chopped chestnuts. yummy.  cloud9:

I like them sliced thinly then stir fried (in a pan) with garlic chilli and ginger.
