Mr C purchased one of these for me...

http://www.amazon.co.uk/AnySharp-Global-Worlds-Sharpener-Classic/dp/B001DXVL6K/ref=sr_1_1?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1324214409&sr=1-1

It works really really well.  You can't see the blood gushing out from this picture though. sad24:

Serious question. Does it sharpen better than the one in the Amazon video on that page  rubschin:  I'd be disappointed if a newly sharpened knife cut a tomato like that

I thought everybody was the same, left to right, knifes, forks, spoons, teaspoons at the front of those, then everything else thrown in alongside

I didn't watch the video until just now.  For me it works really well. Knives are sharp the thing is stable.

As for my draws well, now you come to ask, left to right, spoons, forks, knifes teaspoons at the front and long knives on the right.
I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.

It'll all depend on how much air you draw in. How big are your breaths

When removing the blades from an electric knife, do not under any circumstances confuse the button that releases the blades with the button that starts it....
