Saw a sign in the bus station today, it said 'One bus takes 35 cars off the road' personally I think it depends how aggressive the driver is.

Today's adventure has been getting a baby blue tit out of the mouth of the cat, catch it and successfully re-release it

I'll claim credit for the first bit but Mrs K is just brilliant with birds and bats

Catnip works wonders in getting cats to release what they have caught without further injury.
Never thought of that, cheers.

We had three cats when we first moved down to Cornwall, it was the easiest way to get the voles off them without having to clean up blood and guts

Voles are just easy prey for cats.  For some reason ours have always tended to shout out their success when bringing them in and the vole falls to the ground.  Even the dumbest vole knows that's their one last chance and run straight under the furniture.  Blue Tits are a bit trickier but she (Pippi - don't ask it was her name when we got her) let it go for a millisecond and was just about to get it again when I thrust the notebook betwixt the two.  And then the blue tit flew into the curtains while I held Pippi at bay with a keyboard.  Elegant it were not

Bit more dialogue in this one

http://youtu.be/JsYu9jsmlHc

The cynical part of me does notice that having effectively killed the Axenar fan project discovery seems to suddenly look remarkably similar in plot....   rubschin:

Always room for another Star Trek series

Have a look on youtube for Prelude to Axenar, while they did make some stupid mistakes which allowed cbs to jump all over them it strikes me as a much better concept for a series.
