Saw a link to a Guns n Roses concert with the new line up so gave it a try, if they were a tribute band they would be okay(ish). Having said that if you only have one of the original members still in it does that automatically class you as one, hell the guitarist is only a poodle perm away from looking like a cheap Slash clone.  rubschin:

I have to admit I did see a tribute act when I was in Ipswich that was a hell of a lot better and if you look at the audience you can tell who is watching them for the first time and who can remember when they were seriously good live.

It's not just Axl getting on and feeling the effects of the booze and drugs, compared to artists like the Rolling Stones the man is a bloody lightweight, the replacement members don't have the same power as the original line up. They can play the songs but it's nowhere near the same.  noooo:

That was one of the biggest drawbacks of working for callcentres, even on the technical side and not on the call floor you still get bombarded with tuneless talentless pop shite. It took me a while to be able to separate listening for pleasure from enduring work based crap.

As for your mongs, this is probable a more suitable version of the song I suggested you end the night with...  eveilgrin:

great music

But the story  rubschin:

Quote
The actor says he has a script and VOD and DVD movie in the works which will follow Elwood Blues discover the next generation of soul stars.
So no studio would take it on for cinema release then Dan

Quote
And the Saturday Night Live alum also detailed how he has to yet to learn if he will appear in the remake of Ghostbusters,  . . ..
"Don't call us, we'll call you" applies then

Def Leppard - Photograph (1983)
Don Johnson - Heartbeat (1986)
The Doobie Brothers - What A Fool Believes (1978)
Elton John - Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting (1973)
Foreigner - Dirty White Boy (1979)
Gerry Rafferty - Baker Street (1978)
Greg Kihn Band - The Breakup Song (They Don't Write 'Em) (1981)
Julian Lennon - Too Late For Goodbyes (1984)
Kenny Loggins - I'm Free (Heaven Helps The Man) (1984)
Phil Collins - I Don't Care Anymore (1982)
Queen - Radio Ga Ga (1984)
Robert Plant - Big Log (1983)
Simple Minds - All the Things She Said (1985)
The Small Faces - Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake (1968)
Steve Miller Band - Rock'n Me (1976)
Steve Winwood - Higher Love (1986)
Stevie Nicks - I Can't Wait (1986)
Alannah Myles - Black Velvet  (1989)
Boston - Peace of Mind (1976)
Belinda Carlisle - Circle in the Sand (1988)
Broken English - Comin' On Strong (1987)
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Fortunate Son (1969)
Harry Chapin - Cat's in the Cradle (1974)
Humble Pie - 30 Days in the Hole (1972)
Kansas - Carry On Wayward Son (1976)

Survivor - Burning Heart (1985)
Yes - Roundabout (1972)
ZZ Top - Gimme All Your Lovin' (1983)

It could just be coincidence but I'm more inclined to think the developers have a warped sense of humour as more often than not when I'm being chased by the police the radio is playing If You Leave Me Now by Chicago  lol:

Not bad, though the delivery is a bit aggressive.

I prefer this version:

Mary Coughlan - I'd Rather go Blind  (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3pN-x2nsmQ)

This seems to be the year for nostalgia. Just found out that another band I thought had spilt up years ago, the Levellers, are on tour and they actually get down to Cornwall.  cloud9:

She's a good singer but Beth suits a faster track where she can let loose more. She does a pretty good Nutbush City Limits with Joe Bonamassa

I'll admit this brought a tear to my eye as I watched it. During the Taylor Hawkins tribute concert his son came onstage to play drums and you can see him pouring the anger, pain and loss into the performance.

I love moments like this, the audience at a Billy Joel concert have a surprise guest in the form of Billy Gibbons  cloud9:

2 numbers from the Jeff Beck tribute concert from earlier this year.

First Johnny Depp, Ronnie Wood, Billy Gibbons and Imelda May doing Walking in the Sand

And Eric Clapton, Robert Randolph and Joss Stone

If I'd known about this concert at the time I'd have got a ticket  cloud9:

At some point I'm going to have to go and see them just for the experience of having my eardrums blasted by 1000 musicians.

Considering it all started with a group of Foo Fighters fans all getting together to play a track to convince them to perform at their town it's been an impressive journey.
