Talking to someone in London yesterday I suddenly remembered something ghastly from years ago. No, not the time I accidentally informed Virginia Bottomley's mother, in a public meeting, that her daughter was frightful redface:
I used to work at a residential conference centre outside Bristol (nice place, look http://www.coombelodge.co.uk/ (http://www.coombelodge.co.uk/) ) and delegates would assemble on Sunday evening for dinner before commencing a 5 day course the following day. There were always illicit shagging opportunities at the place and it was well known as a place for such assignations. ::)
We had 16 college Principals in and about 10 minutes into the Monday morning session the door opened and the Housekeeper entered. SHe was Austrian and was rumoured to be an ex-Nazi.
She held out an arm and said, "I have found an ear ring. WHose is it?"
A woman raised her hand and said it was hers. The Nazi handed it over.
Before leaving the room she turned again and said, "I thought you would all like to know, I found it under HIS bed!" pointing at a bloke in the room.
It made the rest of the week a bit tricky redface:
-
You were the bloke in the room I assume.
