Never rated it as an album, imho they did far better before (Revolver) and after (Abbey Road)

The Stones who at the time were on top form were foolish to try and follow its lead

I take your point (Satanic Majesties was absurd) but the sound here is richer that the tinniness of the vinyl version.
I always get Satanic Majesties (poor) and Beggars Banquet (back on form) confused  redface:
Well, whatever, nevermind

Yes, and look what happened to them eh...?  lol:
Amazing that they've been going well over 50 years and still can belt it out.  That Glastonbury performance was brilliant.

Anyway back to topic:  should I buy it like?

I'm only on track 11 (of 31)...

So far I'm liking it... If you have it already and play it in your car or some such then I probably wouldn't bother... If you listen on a decent system then it is probably worth it...

Well that justifies my Amazon subscription.  Listened to it with live lyrics up on the screen.  Sound quality/mix definitely better than I recall it at the time but the content hasn't improved.  'Day in the Life' as brilliant as ever but the rest mostly so so imvho.

Now listening to free 1972 Rolling Stones with Lyrics via Amazon.  It's survived well
Well, whatever, nevermind

The universe is run by the complex interweaving of three elements. Energy, matter, and enlightened self-interest.
