Mrs Growler and mini moose smugly seemed to have had a good flutter apparently.
1st 2nd 3rd between them.

My only growl was they didn't empty our account to place the bets. Banghead
I could have been nearer zero mortgage land this morning. cloud9:

All we got courtesy of the bookies, was a bottle of red. Hardly life changing ey? ::)
Depends... she might choke on it...  whistle:

Tomorrow - 2.55 at Nottingham. "Baldemar" in tribute to our great host. You know it makes sense. Don't take less than 9/2 though.

Remember what you said Snoops - only bet what you can afford to lose.

Mrs TMR (to be) has gone for Street Star. But then again, she called the Grand National wrongly...whistle...

Oi! Berek! I still owe you about ten pints for Mr Chocolate Drop! These can be redeemed whenever you like.

Hope you had a fiver each way. Beaten by a neck in to second place.

Baldemar did little wrong as he tracked the early leader Kashoof and came through to take a definite edge over a furlong out. For a few strides he looked like holding his advantage, but was worried out of it.

Sadly I forgot to place a bet. There is no bookmaker in the village and I would not feel happy with an "on-line" facility so I have to travel into either Rhyl or Prestatyn. I did go into Prestayn early but, as I say, forgot to call into the bookies and by the time TMR remined me it was too late to get the car out and drive into either town, park and visit the bookies.

Why would I not feel happy with opening a betting on line facility? ~ Too tempting. As I have said before my days of spending Saturday (and many other afternoons) at the bookies are ended and I have no desire to revisit them.
