Doc says he is referring me to the horsepickle asap to have a camera inserted. eeek:
He says I will get a local anaesthetic so brace yerselves for some "You'll only feel a small prick" "jokes" evil:
It's not as bad as you'd think.
The worst bit is they will probably make sure you have a very full bladder for an ultrasonic check and then make you walk half a mile across the hostipal absolutely bursting. On the positive side they should show you the live camera feed which was absolutely fascinating.
Oh and having a female nurse assisting was a bit embarrassing, leave your pride at the door.
And it can be very Banghead to go through it all only to hear "we haven't got a clue what caused it Mr K"

2 letters from hospital. One with a date for my pre-op and the second actually intended for my GP full of technical info and saying they have found something "sinister". scared2: Off to the quack n the morning.

Actually any letter the consultant sends to the GP gets copied to the patient, although using the word "sinister" is a tad out of order.

Letter was addressed to my GP but wrongly folded so it came to me as my address was also on it. It is very technical. I am sure I was not meant to see it.

Doc says: If I were you I'd have my bladder out eeek:
I said I was rather attached to it and would prefer the TB route for the time being

This may sound like an odd question but have you asked the consultant if it is possible to get a bladder transplant? Transplant treatment was something that was being talked about back when I was a student nurse but I haven't really heard much about it since. however if it can be done and the malignant cells haven't spread beyond the bladder wall then in theory that should sort it.

Nelson Mandela is sitting at home watching the telly when he hears a knock at the door. When he opens it, he is confronted by a little Japanese man, clutching a clipboard and yelling: “You sign! You sign!”. Behind him is an enormous truck full of car exhausts. Nelson is standing there in complete amazement when the Japanese man starts to yell louder. “You sign! You sign!” Nelson says to him, “Look mate, you’ve obviously got the wrong bloke. Get lost!.” and shuts the door in the Japanese man’s face. The next day he hears a knock at the door again. When he opens it, the little Japanese man is back, with a huge truck full of brake pads. He thrusts his clipboard under Nelson’s nose, yelling “You sign! You sign!” Mr. Mandela is getting a bit hacked off by now, so he shoves the little Japanese man back, shouting: “Look, get lost!! You’ve got the wrong bloke! I don’t want them!” then slams the door in the Japanese man’s face again. The following day Nelson is resting, when he hears a knock on the door again. After opening the door, the little Japanese man thrusts the same clipboard under his nose, shouting “You sign! You sign!”. Behind him are TWO large trucks full of wing mirrors. Nelson loses his temper completely, picks the little man up by his shirt front and yells at him: “Look, I don’t want these! Do you understand? You must have the wrong man! Who is it, you want to give all these car parts to?” The little Japanese man is a bit puzzled, so checking his clipboard again, he looks up and says: “You not Nissan Maindealer?”

No, but has your cook got a rabbit shaped jelly mould? I will be in your area on Saturday and could pick it up angel1

Some years back when I had blood in my pee (seemed more like a little pee in my blood at the time) the doctor told me to keep drinking and peeing as I really didn't want it bunged up with blood clots
Well on a rare occasion when the doc says drink I drank (I think he meant water but sometimes you have to just take the opportunity)

I had to google the difference redface: Thicko generalisation: CT scan very expensive looks for cancer, MRI still expensive looks for tissue damage
That CT scan dye is weird. They warn you that it will make you feel like you've peed yourself and it does a bit. Eventually makes you feel warm and sweaty all over and seeing as how they've made you drink a litre of water before you really do need to rush to the loo asap. They also warn you not to leave the hospital too soon after. Forgot that last time and really did feel bad in the car.
But if they say you need a CT scan, always say yes
